An element is something you place in the world as a model rather than as a block: a chair, a lamp, a tuft of grass. Elements aren’t tied to the block grid’s looks, so there’s no limit on how many kinds you can add. Every element shares the same system: a model next to its YAML, a hitbox worked out from that model, placing and breaking that protection plugins can control, and saving inside the world itself. Each type adds its own mechanics on top:

The placement hologram

While a player sneaks with a prop’s item, a see-through copy shows where it would go: green if it fits, red if it doesn’t.
  • Props show it by default. Turn it off for one prop with preview: false, or for every prop in config.yml.
  • Other element types won’t show it by default.
Elements used to be called furniture. Old configs keep working: type: furniture loads as a prop, and the furniture: section in config.yml is still read.
